I am not amused

You call this a double-black diamond trail? This looks like a walk in the park! Where's the real hiking?  Ross looks down at the puny human hikers in disgust

Mark goes the highest

Mark risked it all and climbed to the sun without any hesitation as Ross, Craig and Dave looked on with amazement. Way to show them how to do it Mark!

New discoveries abound from recent expedition!

The intrepid explorer Ross E Barbieri once again makes discoveries on a recent expedition. Here you see in this exclusive photo, he has discovered Great Heights remarkedly paired with Risky Behavior in a funny hat.
More from our man in the field:
"Ross's methods are unique and set him apart from every other intrepid explorer known to man. He's actually become a member of a coyote pack in order to get close enough to make his discovery - simply amazing"

WANTED!

These two men are wanted for crimes against humanity, and generally bad manners.
REWARD for information leading to their millionarification!
They are heavily armed as shown in these photos.

The Climbers

Here we are climbing at the Valley of Fire.
The sheer cliff faces that we climbed were well over 7,000 feet. We would have taken on more challenging heights but we did not have our oxygen tanks with us on this trip.

I'm Bad to the Bone!

No comment needed. He's bad. Really really bad.
Grrrrgh.

Look at me! I can fly! I can fly!

Here is Ross balancing precariously on a 2,000 foot ledge. Thank goodness there were safety nets strung up all around him, not.

The Brothers in the Village

Here we are in front of the Mexican restaurant that we ate at the night before hitting the Bright Angel trail into the Canyon.

"Danger" is my middle name

We were labeled the "type that fit the profile of those that need to be rescued from the Canyon" by the Park Ranger... I wonder how they came to that conclusion?

Sorry 4 the Technical difficulties

You may have recieved several emails/posts that were the same... Sorry 'bout that. The problem should be resolved and posts resume soon.

The Bellagio

These guys were photoshopped into a background picture of the Grand Canyon. We are actually all at the Bellagio betting away our kid's college funds.

The Grandview

The Grandview Trail is now my favorite trail into the Canyon. It is a technically challenging trail with a great density of spectacular views and interesting features.

Magnificent

Here is my other favorite brother, part way back up the Grandview. I'll let you decide why this post is titled Magnificent ;-)

Been There, Done That

Here's my best brother standing at the rim and behind him is the top quarter mile of the Bright Angel trail we hiked down yesterday.

At the Top

Bottom of the Grand Canyon and back for the promise of an ice cold Corona. And official evidence of Mark's champion status!

Truckin', I got my chips cashed in. Just truckin', I got the ways and means....

Here's a pic of Dave as we are descending the canyon, at the half-way point

Hoover Dam drive-by

So because of a Lake Mead wind advisory and late Rv availability, we had to skip the lake and sam tour to get to the South Rim of the canyon at a reaonable hour. But here's a pic!
We're going to try to get it on the trip back. It's dark and cold so no up to the minute pick right now.

Check out the Spot link to see where we are!

RV'ing it

On the road again in style...
We got our recreational vehicle and are hitting the road.
It's different; and should be fun!

An RV in a Walmart Parking Lot

I can't think of too many things more American than being parked in an
RV at a Walmart. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Crammed In!

It turns out that the practice we had as kids getting pots from Mexico
with our parents is paying off. Sitting in the pots we stuffed the
family station wagon is very much like taking the entire contents for
a 27 ft RV camper and stuffing it into Marks BMW. Gotto go, a camelbak
zipper is piercing my lung...

EXTREME CLIMB

Craig is so cool
